Built by a student,
for everyone
Every business has happy customers. Most just don't have an easy way to show it. Meritfolio changes that.
Hey, I'm Ammaar!
I believe one of the most important values is transparency, so in all honesty: I started Meritfolio not because this is a problem I personally faced, but because I wanted the experience of building the classic B2B SaaS side-project (and maybe some extra revenue to fund tuition).
The idea for this project was AI-inspired, this site has many AI-generated features, etc. However, before I began building, I reached out to a few local businesses explaining the product idea, and was quite surprised to find that there was genuine interest. Then, as it happens so often, as I began to fully flesh out the software, I began to take great pride in the product—to the point I see it as a genuine tool that could be of assistance to many individuals or businesses.
I'm not claiming to have found the next big idea, nor is this something I would dropout for (LOL, Y-Combinator is not for me); this is simply a product I think would be of use to many, something I take great pride in developing continuously (it will be on my resume after all), and maybe would hope to gain some revenue from those who find this to be worth the price.
Simplicity First
Look, there are definitely other testimonial tools out there–some with way more features, integrations, and all that. But honestly? Most of them felt way too complicated for what should be a simple task: collect feedback, display it nicely. That's it.
I built Meritfolio to be the tool I'd actually want to use–something you can set up in like 2 minutes, share a link, and be done. No complicated dashboards, no 47-step onboarding flows, no "schedule a demo with our sales team" nonsense. Just... works.
